GREAT NEWS! Today we back down to the Jacksonville Animal Control to submit the application for the stray dog Lindsey found last week. Everything went well. No issues or obstacles. She was spayed, chipped, and shotted up yesterday. We got to see her briefly today. And tomorrow we get to pick her up!!! We still are planning to give her to Cesar on Friday. I just don't see how we can care for another large dog. Cesar will give her a great home with his wife and little girls.

We went down to see "our" stray dog. When we went there to inquire about adopting her we were told that a rescue group already claimed her. We almost lost it. Hilary was pretty upset. We explained the whole story to the woman who ran the place. .. and she finally relented and is going to allow us to get her. She is going to get spayed on Tuesday, and we can take her home on Wednesday. Then Cesar can pick her up on Friday. We did get to spend some time with her. We are thinking the name "Sandy" fits her nicely. She is so amazing! It was really hard leaving her there. :(

Our house guest tonight...Our nameless yellow lab rescue for the night decided to plop down with her head on my shoulder. She put herself there. And yes...I will be heartbroken and sad to see her go. But I am sure (at least I am very hopeful) that her rightful master is sad that she is gone, and that she can and will be reunited tomorrow.
