12 and half hours into our voyage! A few more good hours to go till we get to St. Augustine. Looks like we might have to anchor out till morning because we cannot get past the Bridge Of Lions till then. About 50 degrees, very little wind. Not to bad. 3/4 moon helping navigation, along with our Navionics apps.

Mpow Streambot One Plus Bluetooth 4.0 Hands-Free Car Kit / Bluetooth Aud...
Mpow Streambot One Plus Bluetooth 4.0 Hands-Free Car Kit / Bluetooth Audio Music Receiver Review
http://www.amazon.com/Mpow-Streambot-Hands-Free-BlackBerry-Smartphones/dp/B00QRQOLOW/ref=sr_1_5?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1422474909&sr=1-5&keywords=Mpow+hands+free+car+kit
This is a cool device. Unfortunately my car does not have Bluetooth installed, so I really wanted to try this MPOW Streambot out. It is very easy to install. Just plug it into your lighter, with the included charging plug (supports powering/charging two devices at one). And them plug the headphone adapter into the AUX input in your car. Once that is done, pairing the Bluetooth with your phone is super easy. I was easily able to stream my Spotify music through my cars stereo, as well as take phone calls.
Sound quality was good… not great. There was a slight “buzz” I could not get rid of, and my music sounded a little flat. Calls made with the device sound good as well. The other caller was able to hear me just fine. You can see this in the video above.
The package comes with some adhesive double stick pads to attach it to your dash board for easy access. Build quality it very good. There is a blue light that stays light when paired with your phone. There are three buttons to control your music.
I received this device in exchange for a fair and unbiased review.
PROS:
- Compact Design
- Affordable Handsfree Option
- Take calls and stream music
- Great Warranty from MPOW
Cons:
- Music sounded somewhat flat.
- Slight buzz when listening to music

Anker 18W USB Wall Charger with Qualcomm® Quick Charge 2.0 Review
Anker 18W USB Wall Charger with Qualcomm® Quick Charge 2.0 Review
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00Q88Q16K
I was really excited to get this new wall charger from Anker. Amazon said it had the Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 standard, and would supposedly enable the Adaptive Quick charge in my Samsung Galaxy Note 4… so I was happy when I plugged this bad boy in a low and behold… it worked! The Adaptive Quick Charge message popped up on my phone screen!
There is not much to the packaging… just the adapter and a micro usb charging cable. When you plug it into your Note 4… the LED on the charger will turn green to indicate that the Adaptive Charge is working. If you plug it into any other device, you get a blue led light.
The charger is well made… it is plastic, but feels solid. It is small which makes it great for travel… just toss in on your carry-on. And the fact that it charges fast makes life easier when you are trying to top off at an airport.
Other phones that support the Qualcomm Quick Charge standard are: Samsung Galaxy Note 4 / Edge, Google Nexus 6, HTC One (M8), Sony Xperia Z3 / Z2, Motorola Moto X.
For the price of $20 bucks, with the 19 month Anker warranty… this device is a no brainer!
Pros:
- Small size
- Qualcomm Quick Charge Technology
- Price
- Warranty
Cons:
- None noted!

Satechi Waterproof Kindle Paperwhite Case Review
Satechi Waterproof Kindle Paperwhite Case Review
http://www.amazon.com/Satechi%C2%AE-Waterproof-Kindle-Paperwhite-Orange/dp/B00R702MYS
I use my Kindle Paperwhite often when I go to the beach... and I hate when sand gets on it, as I am always afraid it is going to get scratch. I am kind of anal about protecting my devices. So I was very excited to try out this waterproof case for my Kindle Paperwhite.
I had another case on this, from a different manufacturer. This case from Satechi is slightly larger in size, but still very easy to hold in your hand while reading. The screen sensitivity (using the controls) is still super responsive with no issues. The design of the waterproof enclosure is very similar to other waterproof cases I have used in the past for cameras and phones.
I strongly suggest you water test this with paper towels prior to submersing your actual device in water. The instructions recommend you do this as well. I did not have the opportunity to do this test myself...yet.
Getting the Kindle into the case takes a little effort, but it is not too bad. Once you close up the zip lock part, it is in there pretty securely.
IPX8 Means... The equipment is suitable for continuous immersion in water under conditions which shall be specified by the manufacturer. However, with certain types of equipment, it can mean that water can enter but only in such a manner that it produces no harmful effects.
PROS:
- GREAT PROTECTION!
- Built in stand.
- Magnetic closure.
- Auto On and Off feature.
- IXP8 certified.
CONS:
- Removing the Kindle from the case to recharge the device could become a pain.
- Initial installation takes a little effort.
- There is some (not much) glare from the case while reading.

So this is weird...I got a call from a woman last night going by the handle "Mama Marga Rita". She sad she found me on a website called longisland-cougars.com. She was offering me $5000! I was tempted...but I am a happily married man. What example would I be setting for my brother Stuart and his soon be be bride Anna. I am still slightly bothered by this while incident. I feel dirty, and used.

URPOWER "SELFIE STICK" MONOPOD REVIEW
URPOWER Extendable Selfie Handheld Stick Monopod Review
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00QLSE0UG
URPOWER asked if I wanted to test out their new hardwired (not bluetooth) Monopod (aka "Selfie Stick")... and of course I said YES! I wanted one of these bad boys! This thing is super easy to get setup. I use a Galaxy Note 4, so I cannot use the orange rubber adapter. But, my phone holds in great none the less with the cradle. Adjusting the necessary angles is very easy.
ANDROID 4.0 USERS: You **MIGHT** need to try a different phone app than the stock app for this device to work!!! The default Samsung camera app did not work. When I hit the shutter button on the handle, the camera tries to "zoom" in. I just use the Google phone app, and it works great. iPhone devices work with no problem out of the box.
The camera holds in place very well while using it in this monopod stick. There is very little to no vibration when moving. The stick itself closes up nicely and is easy to tote around in a backpack or camera bag.
This particular selfie stick is "wired", so it does have to be plugged into the phones headphone jack. I prefer this over the bluetooth type, because bluetooth can be finicky.
You can't beat the price on this... you can't go wrong.
PROS:
- SUPER FUN!!!
- Works out of the box with iPhones.
- Easy to use.
- Small footprint.
- Easy to tote around.
CONS:
- Android 4.0 users MAY have to get/use a different phone app.
- If you do not set your phone all the way in the cradle, it may fall out, and cause the stick to bend/rotate due to the weight of the device.
I was given a sample for evaluation and a unbiased review.

URPOWER Windshield Phone Mount Review
URPOWER Windshield Phone Mount Review
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00RHKAYAW
The universal windshield from URPOWER is a nice little device. Not many bells and whistles, but it performs as required. It adheres to your windshield via a
strong suction cup, which is enhanced via a locking arm. I always add a little moisture to mine (lick it). It stays better. The mount has a 90 degree rotation,
so it's easy to position when placing your phone in it. The mount itself uses very strong springs to hold the phone in place. It hold it well., I drove over a
few speed bumps with no issues or problems. I am able to adjust the volume, and interact with the screen without the phone coming out. I tested this using a
Galaxy note 4, and that is about as large as you can go with this particular mount. Do not expect to hold a iPad Mini with it. I also would have like to have
seen a piece of 3M adhesive so it could be mounted to other surfaces.
PROS:
- Does its job.. well.
- Attached easily.
- Easy to remove.
CONS:
- No adhesive to mount to dashboard.
- Using Galaxy Note 4 is pushing it to it's limits size wise.

Really not digging this movie! Pretty long and boring...trying to tie in several different stories into one, and not doing a good job of it. I really do not.care.about any of the characters. I have zero idea why Meryl Streep was nominated for an award for her role.

MPOW iPhone 5S Battery Phone Case Review
My son has a iPhone 5, and is always needing my external battery charger because his iPhone 5 battery is aconstantly dying. I was excited to be offered an external battery case for the iPhone 5s! This case from Mpow Power is really, really nice! It fits the phone great and come with two different "bumpers" to choose from. It also comes with a Micro USB cable to recharge this phone case.
The case has has a built in kickstand which is nice bonus! Additionally, the case is built with new openings that allow the sound to project from the front of the phone with the case on. It sounds really good. There is also a new short audio extender cable included for use with your headphones. Your headphones will not be able to plug (it will not fit) without using this extender. My only fear is that maybe this piece will get displaced/lost, and I wont be able to use my headphones.
As I mentioned above and in the video, the case fits nice. It has a matte finish that adds to increased grip of the phone while you are using it. It resists fingerprints nicely. The battery case has a 2400mAh battery which is a perfect size for this case, as it does not add significant bulk. In my opinion... this case is perfect because I think the phone with the case no fits better in my hand. The 2400mAh battery will charge your iPhone 5s battery one time, so in a sense you are doubling the life of the phone.
Mpow uses top quality cells in thier products. I have never had any issues previously with other Mpow products. This battery case is compatible with iOS8 and is MFI certified.
