They make this brittle in small batches in Napa California
using an IPA beer. It is unlike most of the other peanut brittle I have ever
had. This one has the right amount of crunch, without breaking your teeth. It
has a deep toffee taste....very rich. You really do not taste the beer in it,
but it does add to the flavor. It's hard to describe. There are just the right
amount of peanuts to toffee ratio. I
think they let this "cook" a little longer than most other brittle's,
as it is a little darker. But, again, this is a good thing. The flavors are
complex. This is really a great treat for yourself, and definitely as gifts.
