This external solar powered battery charger from UPOW is very well made, rugged, and they claim rain proof. I would definitely not submerge this under water. The package includes a carabiner, and a short Micro USB cable.



You can charge this gadget two ways... in the sun (obviously), and by using an external 5V power source via the included MicroUSB cable. The output of the charger is a nice 2.1 volts! This is great for charging many newer power hungry devices faster. The solar panels on this device are large, and recharges the internal battery relatively quickly.



The is also a built in LED flashlight which is handy. It's not very bright, but it helps when you have nothing else.



And the last thing is that this solar charger has built in Bluetooth and acts as a remote shutter for your phone or tablet! This is a cool feature, but to be honest I am not entirely sure how much I will be using it. But, all things being equal, this is a nice feature to have handy for when you might need it. Pairing this to the phone was very easy. Just read the included directions.
