Seido iPhone 6 Obex Waterproof Case Review and Hands-On

Seido  makes great, high end phone cases. I have been a big fan for years. This case totally exceeded my expectations!

PRICE: $73.95

This case from Seido comes packed in a large package. In the package is the iPhone 6 case, a holster, an audio extension cable, and several pieces of literature and instruction all very clearly written out. Pay particular attention to the warning regarding the Leak Testing. You really need to do this before trusting your very expensive phone to this case.

The phone goes into the case relatively easily. You need to put it in with the volume rocker side first. Check that all the gaskets are seated correctly before attaching the back cover. I really like how there is additional compartmentalized gaskets throughout the case. The cases snaps together with a few loud clicks, and you are good to go. Opening the little access flaps for the audio and power are pretty easy. You do need the audio extender if you plan on using wired head phones. You can of course use a Bluetooth headset to make life easier.

I water soaked this case for 45 minutes, and it was air tight... literally!

Sound quality when talking on the phone is good. Using the phones features (audio, mute, camera, etc) all functioned perfectly with no issues.

There is also an included holster which works great, and the phone fits perfectly. The holster is very well constructed, and the springs on this are super strong. The phone screen faces inward when in use, so the screen is protected from accidental bangs in desk corners.

All in all... this case provides tons of all around protection...drops, bumps, dings, water, dust, snow, dogs, kids. It does not add a whole lot of bulk. This case is well worth the investment.
