Aukey Bluetooth Speaker Review and Hand-On

Aukey recently sent me their ultra sci-fi/hip looking
Bluetooth speaker to test and provide an unbiased review.

The first thing that smacks you in the head is the looks of
this speaker! I love it! It's all metal construction, and feels incredibly
solid. The finish is a super high gloss mirror. With the high glossy finish you
do get finger prints. I strongly suggest using a micro fiber cleaning cloth to
wipe of fingerprints to prevent scratch the surface.

The speaker is triangular in shape and looks futuristic. The
tri-speaker grill on top projects sound up and into the whole room. The speaker
is 5W and has a great output. The music samples I ran all sounded very good.
Bass was nicely pronounced. All in all, music was crisp and clear. This speaker
is BT 3, but I could not really tell much difference between other speakers
that were BT4+. BT4 has some better audio codecs, but it did not really hinder
the sound output with this Aukey speaker at all.

There is a ON/OFF power buttom on the bottom which is
surrounded by a sticker rubber base to help it from moving around. On the back
is a micro usb input for recharging the battery, and a AUX 3.5 mm audio input.
Both a micro usb and audio cables are included in the box.

The front panel has a volume down/previous track button, a
pause/play button, and a volume up/skip track button. The very top of the
speaker is a play/pause button which also acts as a call answer button. This
speaker has a built in microphone, so you can use this for hands free calls. I
did not test this function.

This speaker is a conversation piece... for sure! If its on
your desk, people will stop and talk to you about it.
